having an issue with this truck.......I don't know much about fixing these kind of things so I thought I'd ask for advice here.

When driving yesterday the car become really strange while driving in first gear (it's automatic). It almost felt like the car was being driven with the parking brake on and would automatically decelerate on its own. Starting from a stop is extremely difficult and giving the car gas usually results in giving it too much and the back wheels squeal.

It's a hard problem to describe but it almost feels like there is something that is keeping the back wheels from turning correctly

what year? sounds like the torque converter clutch is locked up

could be a brake caliper thats locked up and occasionally locks up/comes apart. had it happen on a Benz but not a chevy.


check the transy fluid first though just to be sure.

after driving see if one the wheels is a lot hotter than the other ones
