Where could I purchase a silver chain (necklace), that is extremely thin?
I have a heirloom pendant with a tiny opening (original chain MIA).
Need something smaller to thread through without trouble.
Must be high quality.
Thanks!

Most jewelry stores stock chains that will fit your need. Go to your favorite and just ask a clerk. 10/9/2009 1:27:34 PM |

Ornamentea downtown Raleigh has sterling silver necklaces and such for pendants and whatever.

Bobby gave me a GREAT idea. Silver wire. I can get a ton of it and whenever it wears out, just replace it.

Dude that fixes jewelry in Crabtree also sells chains. His shop is near the food court. 10/9/2009 7:06:40 PM |

a chain that thin is not gonna hold up much better than the silver wire; you snag it on a button and it's gone...you'd prolly be best off to have another loop attached 10/9/2009 7:59:06 PM |

yeah with that sort of gauge you have to look at wire of some sort, most chains are just gonna come apart with much stress 10/9/2009 10:14:34 PM |

I bought my wife a pendant on a chain about the size you're describing at the silver store (forget its exact name) in saltbox village in Cary. They seemed to have a good selection of necklace chain. don't let them talk to you about their stupid charm bracelets. 10/9/2009 11:35:53 PM |
