I don't know if any of you saw this last night, or if any of you know who it is, but i always heard that they would give DWI's on a bike, i just never thought I would see it in real life.

It was after the game at the intersection of blue ridge and hillsborough.. there were about 60 people waiting to go across the crosswalk where the cops were directing traffic... dude on the bike just storms through them all, jets across the intersection, gets intercepted by the cops (one more pick than our shitty d), and taken down..

Dude, i know it sucked for you, but you made the shittiest night ever tolerable, thank you!

last night was full of cop shenanigans. they were viciously looking for DWIs - as they should. the cops were walking up to the driver's side window of each car waiting at the stop light!

so, this guy and his gf were in a truck and sitting at the stoplight waiting to turn onto blue ridge from trinity. we're only one car back and to the left of said truck so we saw it all. the cop walks up, says something to the guy, then tries to open the door - the guy won't let him. he forces him to let him open the truck door, drags the guy out and over to the grass. plops him on the ground and cuffs him right then and there. then walks over to the truck and removes a GUN from the truck. then the cop pulls the gf out of the truck and pours out her booze.

i'm guessing the guy admitted he had a gun in the vehicle right away, but since there was open container in the car, the cop decided the kid had to go to jail

if the guy had it legally in his truck with a concealed carry permit, well hes not going to have that permit any longer

i'm not saying it was wrong to have a gun in the truck. i'm saying it was wrong to have a gun in the truck when you've been drinking all day at a football game, then you decide to drive home with your girlfriend in the passenger seat sippin' on some sizzurp.

I saw them making people blow. They stopped a car a few vehicles in front of me. I had about 11 beers before the game. My friend was in the passenger seat and so we switched and he drove (he had nothing all day). Next thing you know, cop approaches from the rear of my car and made him blow . blew a 0.0

Dodge bullets bitch!

I don't see how the cops can just walk up to cars at the intersection and ask people out of the car. Unless it was marked as a DWI checking station, any charges made that night would be thrown out. The cops have to have reasonable suspicion to even stop someone and just driving a vehicle isn't enough to meet that.

Reasonable suspicion is very loosely defined. No judge would throw out DWI charges if a person is stopped leaving an event where heavy drinking is known to have taken place.

If you have the right lawer they would....and the right judge. DWI's get thrown out all the time because of this.

our state is broke as shit, so you can expect the highway patrol to throw legalities out the window in an attempt to bump up their arrest numbers.

regarding the guy who got arrested for the firearm and the open container, it took the cop all of about 5 seconds in the truck to find it. he must have had it right in front of him. By the way he stumbled out of the vehicle, he was probably lit up as well. to top it all off, he was in his work truck.

i don't know about now but i know two years ago or so in wake county that would happen.

hell even one year ago. i know a guy who got pulled for speeding 10 over and got a few other charges in addition to a dwi that night. the judge threw it out for some minor bullshit.

he blew a .1 so its not even as if it was right on the line.

lawyer and judge matter in wake county more than people are to admit.

If you tie yourself into the saddle really well, the horse knows its way home.
