http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local-beat/California-Ammo-Fingerprint-64455787.html

Aside from the complete idiocy of that law, do they also plan to make it a crime for citizens to travel out of state to purchase ammo?

Also, it's good to see that NBC (or at least one of their affiliates) has given up all pretenses of unbiased journalism and has gone straight to blogging and titties.

That story is an abortion of journalism.

What about mail-ordering ammo? That's how lots of people get theirs, anyway. Or what about reloading your own?

Regardless, that's fucking retarded. I love CA in a lot of ways, but the car and gun laws are enough to make me never even consider living there.

I feel the same way about Britain. Gun laws don't really affect me, but damn does their government hate anyone who drives >30 mph.

Local affiliates are franchisees of a network. They're just vehicles for network programming, not a mouthpiece for the network. In the end, what goes out on a webpage for an affiliate is up to the affiliate and its owner. Affiliates are owned by groups like Hearst and McClatchy.

Local affiliates are to NBC what Food Lion is to Coca-Cola, at least in most cases.

Seems like a good way to lower their already bloated budget. Fingerprint overhead.

Meh. Maybe it will employ a couple of people. Keep 'em busy.

Disarm the good guys! That'll stop all the crime!
