with a dead built in graphics card?

its a 2.2 ghz core 2 duo with 2 gigs but my 8600 gt fried itself. :-(

Check your 8600gt, it might be replaceable. But that is a very expensive thing to do.

(look online for mxm sites to see if one lists your model as having a replaceable gpu)

As you can tell i'm on a pos computer that freezes when i navigate on graphics intensive lame websites like this.... lol

i'll ask a stupid question here... i don't suppose you had remote desktop running on it? maybe you could use it headless. then again, i guess it's not booting correctly?

when i get something else i may be able to log into ubuntu remotely so i may do that... or use it as a print server or something.

i dunno i wish there was some kind of usb graphics card or something i could use to hook it up to a touch screen in the car or something...
