^^^you honestly think they are a final four team? sure they will be good with their good interior but they dont have the guards or the experience to make a deep run and be a major title contender this year. they'll still likely win the acc but they won't be a major threat to win it all. thus overhype. kansas nova kentucky and texas are WORLDS better.

Yeah, after tonight's performance they don't stand a chance. They need a lot of improvement from the guard positions. An insane front court can't overcome 26 TOs (11 of which were from starters, so it's not just from overzealous bench players).

And mambagrl's prediction of 2 or 3 losses before ACC play would be a small miracle. They have to play OSU, MSU, Kentucky, and Texas all before the first ACC game. I can't see them beating any of those teams and they also could be facing an upset against College of Charleston.

GOOD
-They're interior defense and rebounding will keep them in most games.
-Drew is not nearly as bad as everyone thinks -- that guy has got a really good feel for the game.
-Ginyard looks like he's going to come back strong, and seems to have improved his shooting.

BAD
-Their outside shooting looks like it's going to be really bad this year.
-It looks like their BIG recruit (John Henson) can't shoot, rebound, or dribble. He also looks like he weighs maybe 75 lbs.
-They don't have that dominate guard that can create offense and make plays when they really need it (ala Ellington)

UGLY
-21 turnovers against a really bad (albeit scrappy) team is downright awful

Also, from listening to the few UNC fans I've spoken to, they fully expect 8-10 losses this year. With their schedule, that SHOULD put them in the Top 10-15 area.

I expect them to struggle early (though I can see them beating UK) but come together late, not unlike the Hansbrough freshman year team.
