I was told it was an issue on my end, even though I have not changed a thing related to firefox.

I have the latest version.

The settings clear private data when i close it including history, but it should not clear cookies... although it seems like it might be doing it anyway.

I'm not really sure where to go from here... It's not so much I'm concerned about logging in each time... it's just that shit isn't working right and i want to figure out the reason.

Perhaps you should try disabling that and reporting back. I expected less ignorance from you.

well yes i am ignorant about this situation since i have not changed a single setting on my computer or browser, yet when qntmfred was working on TWW a few weeks ago it stopped keeping me online.

and I have no idea why a fresh install of the latest firefox (as well as the last install) would delete my cookies, even though it is set not to.

i haven't done anything that would cause this behavior. also, nobody else has reported this problem. i'm inclined to believe it's your browser dude

and that's why I have asked for help in Tech Talk instead of posting a thread about it in Feedback Forum.

Does FF have a 'private browsing' feature like Safari? If so make sure thats not enabled...

it's firefox's anti-douchebag feature, making it more difficult for you to be one. obviously its not stringent enough
