I don't want to clog up the other Zune HD thread with Marketplace related stuff...
Anyway...my question is this...I'm about to download V episode 2 since my DVR forgot to record it last week...I also only have a limited hard drive on my xbox (120gb). If i delete it from my hard drive am I free to download it whenever I chose on my xbox and PC so long as its still available on the marketplace?
Also any points I add on the xbox doe that link up with my zune marketplace account? I haven't linked them together and don't see where I can link them.

dont know about limits on the number of downloads, but transfers from device to device are unlimited (so i assume pc -> xbox and vice versa). All it says is a 5 device download limit, but doesn't say how many times you can download.
As for purchases, you use microsoft points which is the same system as xbox live. You login to zune with the same account you have for xbox live. As Noen pointed out in another thread if you're going to buy microsoft points, go to bing.com and search for points resellers and get one with the cheapest price after cashback.

I'm not 100% sure if I used the same windows Live login that my xbox Live account is linked to...so i'll have to double check.
so unlimited downloads from Zune's servers but limited to authorizing up to 5 devices. 11/17/2009 5:13:27 PM |

thats what i took away from their faq, but it doesn't specificly say unlimited downloads so idk for sure.
As for accounts, when i created my zune account I logged into my live/hotmail account which is the same as my games for windows live account and i just had to add a few fields for info that was missing. I dont have a 360 but i imagine i'd just sign in with that same account. 11/17/2009 5:15:42 PM |

I am 99.999% sure you can download an unlimited amount of times on each authorized device. All current downloadable content on the xbox works this way. 11/17/2009 9:41:19 PM |

I've been using the Zune marketplace a lot to rent movies. The instant 1080p works great although not exactly as advertised because very few times its stopped play back and I got the 'rebuffering' netflix style although it doesn't take long to rebuffer. However going up in quality is seemless so I can't complain.
I think my trial ended for the music although i never tried it out so I think I;ll just give the pass a shot. Wasn't someone saying something about being able to put the music on your iPhone? If so, how? 12/7/2009 8:40:02 PM |

The only way to put Zune Marketplace music on the iphone is to strip the WMA DRM and convert the files to mp3 though you can stream the music using an app that Noen listed in the other thread. 12/8/2009 2:35:28 PM |

Uhh, almost all of the music on the zune marketplace is in MP3. No conversion, no stripping.
Just download it, and point your iTune library to monitor the same folder. Sync to iPhone and done.12/8/2009 4:31:26 PM |

that sounds really cool and all but $9.99 + having to host it off of my own machine at home just isn't an option. Even though I have a pretty decent upstream...my music is on my laptop which isn't always on. 12/8/2009 6:01:56 PM |

It does work surprisingly well. I used ORB to stream live television from media center for several months last fall, and it was pretty awesome.
But yeah, you do need an "always on" machine to do it. 12/8/2009 6:11:32 PM |
