Wanted to set the record straight. There was a pretty serious false accusation made against Chuck which should be corrected. message_topic.aspx?topic=457081&page=7#11641382

Pffft. My roommate is part of the team representing NC in a case before the US Supreme Court, and he's 24 and mildly retarded. Also worth pointing out that the "false accusation" was made months before the case you cite was put on the docket.
11/18/2009 8:14:25 PM
it says there the case was remitted to a lower court.

Ah, good point. So he was the lawyer in a case that was not good enough for the Georgia Supreme Court, which apparently has much more important matters involving peanut farming or some such.
11/18/2009 8:16:54 PM
Are the dates on their website not the dates actual arguements took place?I only ask because the post you reference happened on 5/29/08, while the first date listed on that page is for September 25, 2008.Or are you simply point out that since that posting he has, in fact, entered the GA Supreme Court's records?[Edited on November 18, 2009 at 8:20 PM. Reason : Just to clarify, this is genuine confusion as to your intent, not an attempt to be "snarky"]
11/18/2009 8:19:17 PM
so just to be clear, all of that other stuff was, in fact, lies and fabrication...but the part about arguing a case before the GA SC was, in fact, an embedded kernel of truth?

I guess it's a matter of perspective. I'm more impressed by him having a pretty decent looking website.http://www.attorneycjones.com/homepage.htmlGranted, it's mostly fluff, and he really needs to rethink that picture on his Profile page, but all-in-all it's not bad. Plus, it's pretty damned hard to run your own lawfirm at his age. I hope it's working out for him.[Edited on November 18, 2009 at 8:35 PM. Reason : Well his = ^thatguy. So there you go.]
11/18/2009 8:34:54 PM
How's that a good website? It's busy as hell. Where am I supposed to start reading?
11/18/2009 8:39:24 PM
Thanks - it was hard getting started, because Athens already has SOOO many lawyers. But I've got things going well now, doing a pretty busy case load, a good mix of appellate and trial work to keep me interested. Beer's on me next time you visit Athens or ATL. (When does NC State play GA Tech next)
11/18/2009 8:40:02 PM
^^ I think I have lower expectations for the average Attorney's website. I see one that's color coordinated and has defined sections and it catches me off guard.
11/18/2009 8:41:58 PM
^^If you want to be taken seriously as a politician, I'd get as far away from TSB@TWW as possible
11/18/2009 9:03:07 PM
Nah, not interested in being involved in politics - it is all way too slow of a process. You can usually effect the kind of change you want by using the legal system, and most of the time it can be done by temporary injunction (which ends up being extreme-long-term "temporary.")
11/18/2009 9:31:01 PM

Actually, I am very very proud of that. It had come to my attention that residents of a certain affluent neighborhood had been attempting to use their "pull" with the local government to keep certain "undesirables" out of their neighborhood. I firmly believe that whenever that kind of behaviour is found, it should be exposed by any means necessary, whatever the cost. I am proud to have had a part in exposing it. Partly because of that expose', those "undesirables" now have a fantastic brand new mansion in south Athens - which I am told they enjoy tremendously. I feel it is one of the responsibilities of an Attorney to stand up for those whose rights are being threatened - whether it be in housing discrimination, or in the other areas of law that Jones Appellate handles; including race discrimination in employment, governmental suppression of free speech, rights of low-income tenants, rights of fathers, domestic violence victims, just to name a few. I take that responsibility seriously and I am very eager to fulfill it. I remember, when I lived in Raleigh, that all the students complained about the Nuisance Party Ordinance (aka the Brent Road Party Ordinance) but no one ever actually did anything about it in Court. I am very privileged to be ready, willing, and able to "do something about it" when I see people's rights being threatened. I pray each day that Our Beneficent Lord continue to grant me that privilege.[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 1:26 AM. Reason : I used to be able to spell]

So what was the controversy with Dave, Juliet, and the twins? It seems like now he's saying that he was trying to out some folks for discriminatory housing practices, in which case I'm crazy on board with the whole bit.So what's the deal, folks? Rehash, please.
11/19/2009 2:00:20 AM
Dave, Juliet, and the twins are fictional. He used their fictional plight to pretend that he was a good person rather than just another douchebag with an embarrassing neck beard
11/19/2009 2:13:53 AM
How did he use them?Did he talk about them?Did he have them posting on certain websites in his favor?I still don't get it.

Sorry, I didn't notice that you'd posted above.I didn't accuse you of anything related to the bar association. I accused you of being a fucking piece of shit who will lie about anything and then avoid talking about his lies to continue perpetrating them.To an extent, we put you in a difficult situation because you can't prove a negative. But then again, you haven't even fucking tried. [Edited on November 19, 2009 at 3:06 AM. Reason : ]

You prophesied, and I quote:
11/19/2009 3:08:33 AM
And you are unwilling to read what is written. The ethics of the law (not even of lawyers) =/= what is actually ethical, in the sense of being right. This disregarding the fact that your ethical lapses were not committed in a way related to the bar of any sate that I know of. I will admit that perhaps in certain places electoral dishonesty is directly related to one's dishonesty in court. If that is the case in Georgia, you may rest assured that I will write to Ms. Frederick.[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 3:15 AM. You know, thank God I was feeling nostalgic tonight and decided to visit the ol' Wolf Web, otherwise I might never have known we had a prophet here!
11/19/2009 3:18:09 AM
Hahahaha, see how he continues to defy the charges leveled against him. No doubt Our Beneficent Lord, when He said, "Thou shalt not bear false witness," clearly meant "You can't bear false witness against make-believe people, so go ahead and knock yourself out!"The responsibility of an attorney to stand up for the rights of those whose rights are threatened does not give one the right to fabricate evidence. If the thing is right, then the rightness of the thing itself will, in time, be sufficient. If the timeframe is not adequate for you, by all means do what you think necessary, but don't bullshit about it later.\edit: Good to see that you take the prophet thing so seriously, no doubt because you read the post in question in its original context and/or have any sense about when things are meant literally.[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 3:21 AM. 11/19/2009 3:34:03 AM
I don't know... I am inclined to believe that there was a person that he did help with that housing situation. He got an awful lot of grief about the supreme court thing, which he handled very similarly (calmly). That turned out to be true... Is there any conclusive proof that there was NOT a shy friend from NCSU or can we just not find any proof that there was one? He's got a winning track record so far, and deserves the benefit of the doubt... It is not out of line to obfuscate the identity of someone who wishes to remain anonymous and at this point, that's about all anyone can pin on him. News organizations do this all the time when they use a false name for someone who wishes to remain anonymous.[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 6:05 AM. Reason : s]

I don't know who Wolfpack2 is, but based on his postings, he seems like a gigantic douchebag. With all the reasoning he does on the job, it's very worrisome that he is so oblivious to his own social shortcomings. I know quite a few attorneys who would never pull the stunts or say the lame shit he does. I am not impressed.[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 8:35 AM. Reason : -]

^^^^^ I am aware of the dates. I'm guessing that he was scheduled to argue before the supreme court and stretched the truth a little for the purposes of his argument. But I mean seriously, if your argument is reduced to whether or not he had already argued before the supreme court months before he actually did, when he was clearly scheduled to do so - and did, then that makes you the troll.Because in the context of what people say about themselves on the internet, I'd say this rates well within the definition of internet honesty.Of course, no one likes him, so we don't feel bad when we hold him to a double standard[Edited on November 19, 2009 at 9:41 AM.
