designing a kit for the wrong donor could be a dead-end for a new kit even before it gets off the ground, but deciding what sorts of cars will work for a kit is an odd balancing test.
In many ways, the donor car must be excellent, and in other ways, the car has to suck.
The final car must be both excellent in all the ways that the donor is excellent, but it has to overcome the ways that the donor sucked, all while managing to be easy and cheap to build, and in final form, offers value-per-dollar in excess of what is available new, if not used, as well. 11/21/2009 1:04:28 AM |
