Anyone seen this fanmovie yet? The special effects are top-notch and the story is great although I've only played MGS 2. Its only 1 hour long and the actors are no name but Snake's voice is spot on and they all act well enough for me. Its apparently Part 1 to a series and non-profit which I guess is how they got past the rights to the Metal Gear Solid copyright?

What I will say is there are mysteries that make me want to know what will happen, mysterious enemies you don't quite understand, Metal Gears, good suprises, and good CGI and action so at the least if you are a true MGS fan you should give it a shot.

i watched the trailer, and the CGI looks to be about the same quality as one of those shitty syfy movies like python vs. anaconda or whatever. i know there was probably not much of a budget, but don't attempt to make a fan movie for a series known for exceptional production if you can't deliver. also, don't attempt to make a fan movie for a series known for not having a guy playing snake with an italian accent or something if you can't deliver.

I am not a "true" MGS fan and even I thought it looked pretty gay from the movie poster. I watched it anyways because if it was based on MGS I knew it had to have some good parts and after they got through all the talking the latter part of the movie was very good imho.

for a group of guys that love MGS so much, they could have released the HD version in a format that could be played on the ps3 somewhat easily... I had to transcode this to mp4. Anyone know if playon plays the quicktime format natively?
