are you around a computer much? if so, go to pandora.com, last.fm, etc.

add music:
Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam
The Who
Flaming Lips
Daft Punk
Sebastien Tellier
Bob Dylan
Avett Brothers
Boards of Canada
Air

I find a shit ton of new music through pandora. I know people who hate it and claim it just plays the same stuff over and over for them. But I think they're just not actively "liking" and "disliking" songs, adding new stuff, etc. I hear stuff everyday (that i like) that I've never heard before.

It won't instantly start spouting out new stuff constantly. But if you add as much stuff that you like as possible, and then actively like and dislike songs, it works very well imo. That being said, I sit at a computer all day and can listen to pandora for several hrs a day. If you use it for an hr a week, it's not going to be very useful

You will definitely without a doubt like Justice & Ratatat if you like Daft Punk, Board of Canada and Air.

Theres a few other IDM bands but most of them are heads in ass

Ratatat is hipster elevator music. Their remix of Notorious B.I.G.'s "Party and Bullshit" is amazing, though.

Or vocals.

Or a sound that resembles Chromeo.

Big beats, synths zipping around, terrible guitar playing...I think that's enough to qualify it for resembling Chromeo.

^^ As for you, I came to post a suggestion and did so. The Ratatat comment was just a bonus.

Though they could hardly be called "new" anymore, I like Editors--and I don't give a fuck whether anyone else likes them or not (from An End Has a Start):

i enjoy both the silversun pickups LPs. I enjoy the first one more. They are a bit overrated and over-hyped but I enjoy them nonetheless.
