Has anyone had any experience with either Dr. Buol or Dr. Kleiss in the Soil Science department and if so what do you think about them as teachers? I have a choice next semester to take SSC 551 with either one of them, but I don't know much about the department. Any information would be much appreciated.

Dr. Kleiss was great. Get a hold of old tests (multiple choice). He doesn't always reuse the same questions, but they'll be similar i.e. the answers will be the same options, but the question would be different so it's a different answer.
