The end is upon us.

I've been foxing with newsgroups pretty exclusively for quite some time now, still sad to see these guys go though.

Is this a joke of some kind? Suspend, lock, terminate, learn to type.

Apparently, they've just re-branded. The RIAA types are pissed but the court isn't acknowledging the link between TPB and this new site, despite the domain being owned by one of TPB's founders.

oh yeah i forgot they started doing that. I can invite you PM me email.

but that service does cost monies too -- like 3.00 for a couple months or something.

I found a couple nzb trackers I like but I always end up going back to newzbin

What is your ISP? I think there are a few that still offer some sort of binary retention.

Newzbin is ok, but I had a much better experience with Itchycats. It's a little known paid usenet group that uses a its own browser (java) based interface instead of a third party application like most other newsgroups. Their straightforward interface more closely resembles the point and click functionality that made P2P networks popular. No NZBs to hunt down, no manual repairs necessary.

25/mo for 70 day retention from a site that looks like it was built in 1994 and hosted with angelfire?

ok, Charter has silently upgraded me to 20/1 service when I'm paying for 5/512. What to do, what to do.

I was definitely a Newsbin user for ~3 months, but I went through a period where 3/5 of the Xbox 360 images I downloaded were duds. Switched to Itchycats, haven't had a dud since. Granted, the site looks like shit and the retention could be a bit longer but as far as reliability and ease of use goes, it trumps Newsbin several times over.

Are you talking about Newsbin the usenet reader or Newzbin the usenet search tool?

Even the free client Grabit has auto repair and auto extract. Newzbin is an amazing search tool and I have never had an issue with it. I've tried to not re-up my credit and just use free search tools and sites like http://tvnzb.com but always always end up going back to NB.
