I was an ugly duckling, but was also a chick jock so it really didn't matter. Never had boyfriends but had a ton of great friends.

Definitely awkward. But it didn't get in the way of my fun.

My school didn't have a bunch of cliques and drama like I often hear about. I mean, there were definitely different social scenes; but for the most part everyone got along. The punks & skaters socialized with the football players & cheerleaders and it never seemed awkward to me.

We mostly just got our drama fix by brawling with people from other schools.

I was a goofball nerd, so it was awkward to an extent. I wasn't trying to get laid or be popular because I more or less concluded that wasn't going to happen for me, so drama was pretty non-existent. People didn't pick on me much either, I carved out a niche with the drama/geek kids. I had drama at home though.

High school was a big joke to me, literally. I spent most of my time mocking rich kids, because I was the new kid at the private school, who had previously gone to public school. I did just enough to make good grades, but didn't care enough to be a straight A student, and didn't really date anyone until Senior year. Built up a reputation as a joker, but for the most part, high school was fun and a lot better than middle school, but very tame compared to college.

I had no drama at all the entire time. With other kids or my parents or my siblings.

I had the same non-drama girlfriend for like two years and my parents knew exactly what I was doing as far as going out to parties/drinking but never driving drunk or getting in a car with a drunk driver and most of my after school time before evening was spent at practices...

I just don't really care about anyone who I went to high school with at this point in my life. Just grew up...

My HS = 2500 students in a school built for 1,100. 1,500 when they put in trailers nearby for extra classrooms. Fights, drugs, and a lockdown due to a stupid kid waving a gun at other students. But isn't that every HS? Still loved it aside from the redundant 8 hour days followed by homework and homework and homework.
