Although they weren't named the top performer, all the performers who ranked above them were solo artists. I don't understand why people continue to buy Nickelback albums and listen to them. Even before I heard this sickening news, if you were to ask me who the least talented and most generic sounding band I had ever heard was, it would be Nickelback.

wouldn't that be more being business savvy then actually having talent though? I mean they know what works and what well sell and get them on the airwaves, so they stick to that. That's not really talent in my opinion to put something out that sounds identical to something you already have put out.

These are just bands that came off the top of my head, there are more. Again I don't like all these bands, but I would say all of them have hands down more talent then nickleback

My first thought as a replacement was Coldplay, just because "Clocks" (or at least a one not off rip off) has been used by VH1, MTV, and every news channel since it came out.

the first time I had ever heard of nickelback was from some kid in school around 2000 or 2001. This, of course, was before they become popular. He let me have one of their albums. I can't remember the title but I do remember it sucking. HARD. I gave it back to him the next day. This is the one and only time I've given BACK an album that was given to me.

Green Day

Foo Fighters

Fall Out Boy

3 Doors Down

all of these bands have done well and are on the radio a lot. Main stream radio is complete shit though

wow, just saw this.

this has to be some cruel joke. songs all sound the same, are terribly written, have terrible vocals...i mean as a musician there is just nothing I can say positive about this band. I can't even sit here and say they are "talented musicians" when I can name plenty of friends who without a doubt are more talented technically and better songwriters.

I'd rather listen to some Kelly Clarkson song that is at least catchy than be forced to listen to anything from Nickelback.
