anyone know if tire places just throw them away or what they do with them? looking some(lots) of lead and trying to figure out the deal and if that is an easy way to get some.

They're collected for recycling with the car batteries... couldn't hurt to just ask someone at a tire shop.

most all tire places have some one who comes around and collects the buckets full of weights

go to discount tire and ask if you cant buy a box of old ones though.

Lead is poisonous, don't be retarded. Suck it up and buy a dumbell from one of the used sports equipment places.

melting lead in a well-ventilated area is not dangerous
