somehow the connection to my screen has become very loose inside my hp dv4. i've owned it exactly 1 year now so it's probably out of any warranty. i bought it for 500 - think i should pay to have it fixed outside or just get a new one?

if i jiggle the screen around the hinges i'll come on, otherwise it's blacked out (very very faintly i can see it still showing the image though - like i can notice it if i alt-tab and the entire screen changes, but it's too faint to see the mouse or anything). yesterday it would stay on at a 80 degree angle and so i tried to jiggle it a bit and now anything more than 45 degrees open and it blanks out...

I did this in the most ghetto way possible about 3 months ago. Took like 30minutes.
