Game came out a few weeks ago and I've heard it described as a mix between God of War and Zelda (down to a horse to get around quicker), with one of the items being a Portal gun. It's gotten decent reviews, so I wondered if anyone had picked up a copy?

yeah it's a pretty tight game. i'm currently battling the damn bat queen, who is quite the bitch to bring down. it's a good mix of combat and puzzle solving, although the combat can get kind of repetitive after a while

and yeah I'd wait and get it used or rent it honestly.. . it's fun, but not $60 fun :/

So, a question. I plan on buying one video game in the next two months or so. I liked playing the old Legend of Zelda games, but do enjoy an adult tone. I only mention that so you know that the dungeon aspects of Darksiders isn't a turn off. Also, I'm fairly casual and have ADD, so short game times don't bother me and actually are kind of a plus (unless it's Final Fantasy, for some reason those are the only games I can devote more than ten hours to without getting bored).

I've never played the God of War series.

Should I get Darksiders, or the God of War I&II disc that's out right now?

I know GoW III comes out March 16th, but I probably won't be buying that right away anyway.

Got this for PC the other day (i'm sure my steam buddies have seen me playing it). Just released for PC so it's a still a little buggy. I've ran across a few problems.

Initially playing it I wasn't excited. Once i did the first dungeon i enjoyed the game. It sort of had a zelda feel to it. I would HATE to play this on ps3 or xbox360. Keyboard + mouse almost seem necessary to play this game.

Lots of dungeons and secrets that you can't get to early in the game and you have to revisit areas to unlock them. Some of the dungeons are pretty tricky.

Overall 8/10.

I got stuck somehow with my only savepoint being where I'm supposed to fight the giant worm but I'm only at half health, making it impossible to get anywhere or leave the area
