somehow i have it in my head that i can do this with my current set up but i have no idea why i think this, is it possible?

i have an internal air card on my netbook. i'd like to hook it up to my work laptop so i can replicate to our server when i need to. it wouldn't be all the time or for long periods of time

can i do this?

service is with verizon if it matters

Any network connection in windows can be shared out to another available connection.

If you have another version of windows, google around for internet connection sharing for your version.
