I have an older (purchased in 2005), HP Pavilion laptop that I am looking to sell. It does not work that great for me, but may be good for parts if someone has the knowhow. There are several things that are wrong with it that I don't know how to fix- Wireless will not turn on, the mouse pad does not work, and it overheats leading to it shuting off. I am not good with computers by any means, but if you'd like a project or parts let me know. Will sell to best offer. I believe that I still have all the software for it too which I will put in the package. If interested, replly and I'll give a more thorough detailing of the software. 2/17/2010 12:46:43 PM |

I think I would like a bit more than that considering the software that will go along with the computer. 2/17/2010 9:36:45 PM |

^^^ you should change the way you think, then...no one is going to buy a broken laptop when FIVE-YEAR OLD SOFTWARE that comes with it is FREE from any number of torrent sites 2/18/2010 8:45:20 AM |

Sure you can probably get most of the software and the like froma torrent site. However, there may be some hardware in the computer that someone could use. Also, the problems may be easily fixed. I never took it in to see what the real problems with it were, so someone who knows a lot about computers may be able to fix it. Even though it's old and outdated someone may find a use for it. 2/19/2010 4:49:45 PM |

These are all bad things that could be systemic to the mobo eventually failing and the overheating of your processor and the fact that this is a 2005 HP laptop makes me wonder if these are the models with the AMD X2 or AMD Turion X2 that had a high fail rate. If you are going to sell for parts/repair, please give the specific model number or some additional hardware specs for the potential buyers.2/21/2010 12:03:53 PM |

you'll be lucky to get more than 30 for it. 50 at absolute best. the components just aren't worth anything with a computer that old and the software is a joke. 2/21/2010 12:34:03 PM |
