Had a slight phone bug with web browsing lately that Im wondering if Im over expecting my carrier to fix.

Carrier is Sprint. Issue is that they redirect websites in to me a random way (im sure there is an order to it but its unknown to me and they have also stated they wont tell me) to a proxy server link, at which the connection fails and I get a gateway disconnect error. In short, the connection times out.

Ive been with a T2 rep, 2 engineers, and a supervisor for engineering all hearing the same thing that they wont fix this. Was sent to Customer Assurance this morning, as engineering refuses to do anything more. They have said they wont say why this is done due to company secrets, which Im understanding about. They also have said that this was a problem on the website and therefore not their issue which Ive been able to prove isnt the case. They slightly now agree this isnt the case.

Pretty much to me this is a case of network management. Im not sure why they are doing this but am trying to get them to stop.

explain the issue more clearly - are you on a public APN or private APN?

Phone model?
Phone OS?
Does this occur with both http and https?
Does this occur when you have your phone hooked up to a computer (thereby bypassing Sprint altogether?)

Also, are you an individual consumer, or a business reporting this issue? If individual consumer, kiss it goodbye. If business, you may have some pull/weight.

First, Im just bitching mostly. Perlith kinda got it in the last bit.

Sprint Samsung Instinct.
Doesnt happen with all websites, and not always when its proxy redirected does it time out.
Not sure on http vs https
Dont think its possible to connect to computer and do it via that.

Me is indiviual, but its technically linked with a business (for discount purposes), which I havnt pulled that card yet, but might now that Im hoping it got sent to customer support/assurance/whatever.
