I saw this RSX that looks pretty nice.

Only thing is the Miles are pretty high. My question is what should i look out for when test driving or inspecting the car? Thanks

make sure it has the timing equipment and water pump service, intervals are 105k, i believe

to be sure, you can pay for a pre purchase inspection at another dealer, cost you about $150, depending on the dealer or mechanic you take it to

they'll tell you if it needs anything, then you can negotiate from there

well worth it, imo

I think the pre-purchase inspection that the guy bought for my S2000 was only $90 and that was at the dealer. If you don't know much about cars that is probably the way to go.

$8500 is too much for this car.

Get a Type-S son. It's really not much more and is a much more enjoyable car without sacrificing anything at all. It's not less reliable, it's not really less fuel efficient and the K20A2 will respond ridiculously well to throwing on an intake, exhaust and hondata reflash (I'd leave it at that). Even if you don't care to do anything to it, the Type-S is the way to go. It's just a little bit more and you'll have way more fun IMO.

If you're set on the slow ass base model though, be my guest. It's certainly not a bad car, but I wouldn't even go for an RSX if you're not getting a Type-S. I'd go for a 4-door civic or something else with more practicality.

I'd stay away from the very first year RSX as well (If possible) and I'd suggest a stock one with the lowest possible mileage, whether or not it's a Type-S. As others said, make sure it has RECORDS of all required maintenance. Also understand when the major services are, so you don't buy one and immediately have to spend money on a major servicing. I'd suggest doing a pre-purchase inspection on whatever vehicle you end up finding that fits all of those requirements and be sure to set it up yourself.

If you get a Type-S, you'll absolutely love it. If you get a base model, it will pretty much be "meh".

Here's one example with very low mileage. It's quite a bit over $8500, but you can find a car exactly like this for less than this one and if you can accept more than 28k miles then the price can come down further.
