Is set for release on March 16th

God of War and God of War II are hands down my favorite series of games for playstation, so I'm really looking forward to this. This is the third, and supposedly final, installment in the series.

The first two games were made for PS2 only, so it will be nice to see the upgrade in visual affects now that they are stepping up to the PS3

really excited for this

i recently got the god of war collection for PS3 and really enjoyed it. The graphics are crisp and clean. Simple models and environments but high AA make it look stylized almost...has aged well with the help of the update.

The addition of a steady 60 FPS makes all the difference in this game. Game almost feels more responsive and easier to play. When I played the God of war 3 demo I definitely noticed the drop back to ~30 in terms of responsiveness

i think GOW gameplay is not near as fun as Devil May Cry or my fav Ninja Gaiden but the story and cutscenes make it well worth it

i feel like these games are pretty repetitive unless you play them on the hardest difficulties cuz otherwise all you really have to do is button mash.

having said that, on the hardest difficulties they are awesome.

I must agree that playing the first 20 minutes is such a rush. I played the first God of War but slacked on the second. This is turning out to be one of the best games I have ever played. To quote Ferris Bueller "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

Man, I'm glad I played FFXIII before this and had a chance to be impressed by it's graphics. After playing this game, nothing else out right now is in the same league.

It's actually pretty crazy, the demo is barely representative of the final product. Much better framerate, no tearing, no aliasing, better lighting, and better everything else. The game looks unbelievable.

i was getting a head ache from the frame rate but knew the final product would not have the problem

Yeah, I'm not close. Been playing on Titan (Hard) and taking my time. I'd recommend that difficulty level for anyone who's play GoW before.

I have noticed that the normal isn't really a challenge.

Anyone finding the extra items? So far I found an eyeball in the section where you're jumping to platforms and walking across bridges and I found a feather in the area where you encounter the Cerebus. Once you get the bow you shoot out the bramble up in the 2nd level and use the hot air to float up and fly over.

Yeah, definitely helps to look for the extra items.

Titan isn't particularly hard, but you can't just square square triangle your way past everything that isn't a boss fight.

Anyone else notice that you die a lot making simple jumps? Either my controller is buggy or I lost that loving feeling for gaming but for the life of me I have died over 10 times just double jumping over small areas.

Yeah definitely, the game does an excellent of telling the backstory.

However, you should play the other God of Wars games because they are awesome

I have wanted to play this series forever so I finally gave in and bought all three (first 2 for 19.99 total) and I must say I'm impressed.

I hope to christ you got the God of War collection for the PS3. They are HD remasters of the first two games. 720p, anti-aliasing, better texture filtering, and a rock solid 60 fps the entire game.

And yeah, now that I think back, God of War II was probably the superior game to God of War III in several aspects. It had better pacing, story, and level/puzzle design. God of War III obviously blew it away with the graphics and sense of scale, and I also thought the combat (especially the boss fights) was much improved. As I said, they are all amazing games and you should play them all.
