so i downloaded Norton Antivirus to get rid of a nasty virus and upon restart Windows would not boot so i chose "start windows with last known working configuration". Virus is gone now but so is rundll32 (a popup box alerts me upon booting up). Most applications i attempt to start (including system restore) give me a pop-up window that says choose the program you want to open this file with. For example: i double click internet explorer and it says select program you want to open iexplore.exe with. Norton wont work of course. any expertise would be appreciated

- Format C:
- quit downloading things from random places especially from p2p sites/applications
- don't click on emails from people you don't know/don't click links in emails unless you're sure it's safe
- don't click on links on webpages/facebook/etc. that say you won something, your picture/video is here, etc.
- get Micorsoft Security Essentials
