Tip: Wax the paint of your car with a synthetic sealant like Mothers SynWax or Duragloss #105, the pollen wont stick as bad. Carnauba attracts dust, a sealant wont allow it to stick. Also use a water based tire shine dressing to prevent yellow tire syndrome.

lol, you can rinse it mostly off...but can't dry the car. Thus the pollen will stick even easier. Of course feel free to dry the car off...if you like scratching your car

I'm with NRR on this one, hose that shit off. No reason to bother with sealants and all that shit till the pollen is long gone. Then strip, claybar, seal, wax, whatever you need to do to make you feel better.

^ If you must rinse it off, the sealant makes the pollen not stick so it will rinse cleaner. Been doing it for years with customers cars.

Drag some pollen across your paint with a towel, you will see pollen fuck up paint. Ohh, look at all the nice new swirl marks.

Huh? Giving advice on how to deal with pollen qualifies as being a prick? Guess I am guilty then.

the shit just hit this morning really. I woke up and my car was covered in tree jizz. Just for fun I wiped all the pollen off with a microfiber towel at around noon. A haze had already reformed less than two hours later. Car was parked.

Been laughing every time I see a washed car. Even my neighbors are washing all their cars at once and I just shake my head.

^^I think its really bad for 4-5 days, but is just bad for 3 weeks or so. It might depend somewhat on how often we get rain during this pollination period.

fucking rediculous. shit makes me want to cry. i had to use washer fluid on the way to work this morning; lose/lose situation there.

i used my windshield washer spray before leaving for lunch (with vehicle stationary). Once I pulled away 80% of the pollen blew off my car. Then when I got out of the car I noticed that all the overspray from the washer spray resulted in yellow polka dots all over the trunk and rear fenders.

Won't be doing that again.

Mine has my special anti-static sealant on it, and even though its still a bit yellow, it looks tons better than other cars I have seen today. Most of it blows off when I drive away.
