They got rocked by Louisville, G-town, WV, Villanova, and Syracuse

pretty much every team worth a shit in the Big East

they did beat gtown and pitt though

this "streak" though was depaul X2 providence. they racked up wins vs the shitty big east teams mostly.

STFU alias. Carolina isn't winning two games and that wouldn't be the elite 8. (elite 8's are for winners, not NIT teams)

Fucking UNC as a four seed. USF is odd, they could be great or could be awful. Just depends on which team shows up

Not to diminish the possibility, but it's the NIT. There's no elite 8 in the NIT.

does MSG only get the final 4 teams? i feel like they usually get more than that, but maybe im thinking of the preseason NIT, which still might not be the case

In the 70s, they switched to the current format.

Dom Jones is tough and so is Gilchrist... but I think we can beat them.

Just let Jones get his points and work on shutting down the complimentary guys.

This is a really tough road game. Let's hope this State team doesn't want their season to end!

we do surprisingly well against super-athletic guys under Lowe's defensive system, so i'm not too worried about Jones

the thing that worries me: they play twin towers. Famous is 6'11" and gets 30 minutes per game and Gilchrist is 6'10" and gets 29 minutes per.

I can see Tracy and Howell getting into foul trouble, possibly early. and we all know what that means

that's what the was for

henceforward, Dandy will be known as " "

and if at all possible, please try to use ", mate" after the Dandy-smiley

i.e. Q: Hey, Tim, who is slated to be the starting center in 2011-2012?

A: , mate.

Looking at their resume, I feel that if they were Cuse, Nova, UCONN or one of the resident Big East big boys, they would have gotten in the tournament or been on the bubble at the very least. Being South Florida relegated them to NIT status, and we'll have our hands full trying to beat them. A team that goes 9-9 in the Big East is nothing to sneeze at.

They beat Pitt and Georgetown, which is pretty impressive

The rest of their BE wins were against bottom feeders

Yeah, I guess. But I don't think we'd go .500 in that league even with half our games against the likes of Depaul, Rutgers and St. Johns

That's question #2.

question #1 is how a team without a winning record even gets selected. After miami's run in the ACC tourney, they deserved an NIT bid way more than UNC, who continued to lay eggs left and right.

And then on the topic of seeding, all they have over us is that they beat us twice.

Miami is RPI #46 as of the tourney. NC State is #59 and UNC is #63. unfuckingbelievable.

Where did you get those numbers?

RealtimeRPI.com has Miami at #99, NC State at #98 and UNC at #92...

Who wants to go on a road trip?

We beat Marquette, USF lost to Marquette. NCSU>Marquette>USF. Here's hoping transitive properties apply.
