anybody notice this? I download PDFcreator (dumps print output to PDF) and they try to install a toolbar. I have frostwire for gnutella stuff and it's supposedly opensource, but it has the "for-profit" feel and also tries to install a toolbar. So what? "Open source" means you can't make a buck?

open source doesn't mean they don't want to make money. it's always been that way. perhaps developers just have more options available for monetizing their work, though i too am not a fan of bundling toolbars and other crapware in order to do so 3/16/2010 2:24:19 PM |
