1. Is there an Elder Scrolls V thread yet? I looked and couldn't find one recently (past 5 months) 2. The name "Shadow Realm" is unofficial, but seems to be increasingly possible 3. I read in Bethesda's Blog a while ago that it was supposed to be released in late 2010. I'm guessing early 2011... 4. What's in your Elder Scrolls V wishlist? 3/16/2010 6:20:58 PM |

With graphics like those, I'm not sure if they (Bathesda's developers) would rather wait for the Xbox 720 & PS4 to be released. If they did wait (another 2 years :/), the game would be exponentially better. 3/16/2010 6:28:10 PM |

This is my favorite series of games. I popped in Oblivion last week and its pretty outdated. I'm ready for Shadow Realm. 3/17/2010 6:23:04 PM |

Wish List:
* Levelling System more similar to Fallout 3 * Dungeons/caves that are more unique and quests that aren't so repetitive * Other ways to interact with people besides disposition * Being able to fight while mounted on a horse * Fighting in "wars" with an alliance or faction 6/4/2010 11:24:22 PM |

Games are only as good as the effort a developer is willing to put into them...
...and Bethseda puts WAY too much of their effort into graphics rather than meaningful content or deep gameplay. I'd rather see a great game over a vast expanse of well-rendered terrain. 6/5/2010 2:32:17 AM |

- Divide the map into regions with leveling "caps" for the creatures in them. In Oblivion it was always annoying that the random animals/raiders kept leveling along with the player even along the most basic routes that one would take at the beginning of the game. A player should have a sense of development and superiority as he becomes more powerful. The leveling concept is a good idea but i finally gave in and started using the "instant move" feature because even going from Imperial City to Skingrad would become a chore from having to fight off grizzly bears and those horned creatures when i got to level 25.
- Add a little more structure and incentive to develop into the main quest or even the faction quests. Mass Effect 2 had the opposite problem and was to linear and focused on the main mission. Oblivion often made it a little to easy for players to wander off the main mission quest or even to continue on a faction quest.
- More diverse weapons and quality levels are needed. Half way through the game I already had all the best armor and weapons thus some of the accomplishment was already over. Final Fantasy has mastered rationing of new armor and weapons; Bethesda should learn.
- More "team" or "group" battles. Rolling around solo got boring, even with a "fan" was not much better.
- More dynamic battles instead of sitting there tapping my trigger finger to slash my blade constantly.
- Emphasizing boss battles more!
- Fix the bartering system.
- Bring spears and other weapons back that were taken out after Morrowing.
- Make battles harder by adding quantity of weaker enemies instead of a couple strong enemies. Humans and animals should not be able to take 10 arrows or 5 lethal sword blows that are obviously direct hits.
- Improve horse back combat system.

bring back spears. and don't need 8 levels of weapons, that's dumb. and recharging your magic weapon is dumb too, maybe can have weapon damage a little more randomized and usage dependent? maybe stealth could be modeled more like real ninjas like stealth swimming by throwing duckweed over the water and stuff. i 'd like to see some real need for warm clothing in the mtns and water in the desert etc. but can hire sherpa or tracker if u no likeing the survivalist thing. maybe some real orienteering and sailing using stars and water waves for *advanced* setting. maybe even require advanced player to use fantastical cues from nature to solve probs and explore. I referring to black IRL as Redguards. 6/6/2010 1:55:59 AM |
