this is one of those eps where the guys have a good idea but it just really isn't enough for 22 minutes 3/17/2010 11:27:36 PM |

It wasn't really that good of an idea to begin with. The only thing that was even kind of clever about this episode was the EA Sports angle. And even that got old the 2nd time they showed them playing the game. 3/18/2010 12:14:43 AM |

Well, I thought it was hilarious. The game and the monkeys, etc.
Of course, maybe that's cause I was drunk.
Because, you know, it's St Patrick's Day or something. 3/18/2010 12:27:15 AM |
Mr. Joshua Swimfanfan 43948 Posts user info edit post |
Or maybe it was because the monkey was goddamn hysterical. 3/18/2010 12:31:02 AM |

loved the EA angle, especially "golf sucks again." was lolling all through the monkeys, and i liked the sex addiction class.
i just didn't like Obama or the entire liberty hall scene.
Butters looking for bush was a good running gag though. 3/18/2010 2:13:36 AM |

it's so typical of what episodes have been like for the last few years. they run with an idea and then it turns into something completely moronic, and they probably sit there making it thinking, "god dammit i can't believe we're actually doing this."

Overall it was pretty weak. The tiger woods game was pretty funny, and the monkey was awesome, but the rest was pretty lame. 3/18/2010 8:07:44 PM |

Story was pretty damn weak on that episode, not a good start to the new season. I can't remember laughing once. I did like the EA Sports premise but it got repetitive. 3/19/2010 10:29:20 PM |

a lot of the episodes from recent seasons tend to sound awesome from the summaries in the days leading up to them airing, but they end up being kinda "meh" in the end. 3/19/2010 10:43:58 PM |

I don't get it, i did not find it funny at all. If my "g/f" did not want to finish out the episode, I would have had my 2nd time in history of turning off an episode before it was early.

Seriously though, that last episode was amazing--both in terms of them making fun of themselves but also in making fun of literature that follows in the same style. It's not coincidental that they did this episode not long after Salinger's death either.

I enjoyed it, but I think a big part of that came from my desire to hear someone else -- even if they are fictional -- express as low an opinion of Catcher in the Rye as I have. 3/26/2010 3:55:06 AM |

at the 0:50 mark That's season 12, so he hasn't shown up in about 1.5 seasons (19 episodes back).
