This deserves it's own thread:

Read that entire thing. It's a compendium of every flip-flop or hypocritical statement that the Republicans have been doing for the past few years. Absolutely devastating.
They really are a bunch of mother fuckers, aren't they. 3/23/2010 1:21:21 PM |

I don't doubt the same list could be composed for liberals. Conservatives just lack the inclination or skills to be witty on the internat.
wait...the header ad on TWW says
"Stop Unchecked Liberal Power - Donate to the RNC"

They're one and the same.
And they're also fucking insane:

Quote : | "To anyone who thinks the end of the health-care vote means a return to civility, wake up. Obama Derangement Syndrome—pathological hatred of the president posing as patriotism—has infected the Republican Party. Here's new data to prove it:
67 percent of Republicans (and 40 percent of Americans overall) believe that Obama is a socialist. The belief that Obama is a “domestic enemy” is widely held—a sign of trouble yet to come.
57 percent of Republicans (32 percent overall) believe that Obama is a Muslim
45 percent of Republicans (25 percent overall) agree with the Birthers in their belief that Obama was "not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president"
38 percent of Republicans (20 percent overall) say that Obama is "doing many of the things that Hitler did"
Scariest of all, 24 percent of Republicans (14 percent overall) say that Obama "may be the Antichrist."" |

Some redneck talking doom and gloom regarding the healthcare bill, since it was on TV, in all seriousness stated he hopes that someone sneaks a gun into one of Obama's rallies and "takes him out." I asked him what he though if Obama and Biden were both gone with Pelosi became president. He had no comment. 3/23/2010 7:43:21 PM |

There are a couple of republicans and a few independents in the presidential line of succession since the President didn't go completely partisan in his appointments with the highest up by Robert Gates at number 6.

The left already knows about the rights obstructionism, filibustering, and turning on their own ideas when dems start supporting them, and the right doesn't mind, so I'm not sure either side cares a lot about that article.
Quote : | "You can't fight against your own ideas just because the Dem president endorses your proposal.
You can't call for a pay-as-you-go policy, and then vote against your own ideas.
You can't support the individual mandate for health insurance, then call it unconstitutional when Dems propose it and campaign against your own ideas.
You can't complain about a lack of bipartisanship when you've routinely obstructed for the sake of political gain -- threatening to filibuster at least 100 pieces of legislation in one session, far more than any other since the procedural tactic was invented -- and admitted it. Some admissions are unintentional, others are made proudly. This is especially true when the bill is the result of decades of compromise between the two parties and is filled with your own ideas." |

Why is this news to everyone? Most if not all politicians are just dirty slime balls that only care about re-election. Everyone gets so up tight about defending "their side" when all that is happening is our money is being taken away from us for pointless shit.
Someone in a government job is going something right now that would piss every single one of you off. It may be reported, it may not.
I firmly believe we are young enough that we will see the implosion of American in on itself, and we will no longer be the global power. It may be Democrats, it may be Republicans that cause the final blow...I don't know. Honestly I don't care. I dislike them all. They don't care about what you want until November rolls around, then they will tell you everything you want to hear to keep them in that seat.3/29/2010 8:25:38 AM |

I'd venture that there's a difference between failing to live up to a campaign promise or a politically convenient flip-flopping vs. oh, let's say calling for gay people to have their rights limited as a major part of your campaign and then being caught with a dick in your mouth.

It think the idea behind using theword conservative here is that it's on the people who identify as conservatives to check the actions of republican (r next to their name) politicians, not so much that all conservative people think these ways.
And this list can certainly be compiled for the left as well. 3/31/2010 2:24:16 PM |
