Dont know if TWW has any interest in this, but figured i would post it anyways.. IT would be nice to finally put some faces with the usernames.

I have been working on a campus car show for awhile (or meet, or what not)... And finally think this is coming together!

On April 10 there will be a car show on the top level of the parking deck on Centennial Campus! $5 to enter your car (Prizes!), FREE to come out, hang out, ect.

We will have food and t-shirts (both on the cheap, car people and college students are broke!)

You can pre-register for the event and pre-pay for the t-shirt (please do so we know what kind of turnout to expect) on the website.

Someone is going to try to get the cobra brought out. I hope some other nice cars come out as well.

The idea is to keep it NC state students, faculty, and alumni. I was not in support of this idea, but thats how the votes fell. I have posted it here, facebook (as of this morning), and WSCC/WDSC. Feel free to post it elsewhere, but try to keep it within the NC state community.

I was not overly pleased with the judges.. It seemed they were more fans of the glamor and $ aspect than to the actual ideas behind the car.

I wasnt much involved with the judging (i passed that off..)

The parents nsx and or bmw shouldnt have won anything.. the mustang was kinda in the same situation, although it was restored very well.

I liked the old rover (1 of <2000 in the US, only one in NC, probably one of a few still running).

I liked the lt1 porsche alot.. I taked to shmorri for awhile about that and my ls1 240.

I also liked maximadrvrs veedub..

ray's FC and that dudes supercharged v6 mustang (not my style) also have a lot of work into them and shoulda gotten more attention then they did...

If you guys do another one of these, I know of a few professors you should get in touch with--Dr. Margolis in the Economics dept. owns an early 70's Alfa Romeo Zagato Junior, really neat little car. Dr. Roberts in Mechanical engineering has both an immaculate E28 535i, and a beautiful E24 M635csi. I think the E24 is Euro-spec, possibly a gray import. And Dr. Tate in the Vet School has both a Ferrari 308 GTS, and a '68 Porsche 912.

test pipes, intake, upper plenum, ecu management and tune, and redid audio(speakers, headunit, etc.) . supercharger coming this summer then i will work on suspension.
