Why in the world would you ever want to give your opponents legitimate reason to claim the crazy shit they're doing isn't actually them, but someone else in disguise?

^ I'm not sure why it would. I mean it seems only fair that if you are going to try and infiltrate and destroy an organization from within, that said organization would try and infiltrate and destroy yours. That they managed to get in probably speaks to just how poorly thought out this whole thing was.
