whoa, my internet speed doubled without me doing anything

you do realize that just because you are paying for package X doesn't mean you will always get any where near X speed?

no one expects exactly what they pay for, but i do expect somewhat close to what im supposed to get
i know certain times of the day it will fluctuate which is why i keep checking it to see the range of what im getting
but yeah if i pay for 1mb upload then i expect to get close to that at some point

yes and no. Its fiber up to your neighborhood then its copper.

Also, Cable networks do have fiber, TWC sucks and is far behind, but you appear to be on Comcast which is a different story.

RR results don't even come close to U-Verse results

Google has a DC in Hickory that peers with TWC in Charlotte, that link is 2 10GE's, I don't think they peer in RDU.

Are folks in charlotte also seeing slow youtube?

Someone was uploading to me at 600 KB/s the other day from a .se ISP that I see a lot in my peer lists. I checked out the site (bredbandsbolaget.se) and they charge ~$45 for a 100/100 connection. So I started looking on indeed for jobs in Sweden.

Also, I can download torrents at 2.5MB/s and upload at 375 KB/s (U-verse), but my speedtests are terrible.
