josh was good, but he wasn't the superstar on that team. He just happened to really light it up in the ACC tourney

That is total bullshit. There was no threat of anyone taking minutes from him. I heard rumblings of why he was leaving and it had nothing to do with minutes.

did anyone actually read the article? It's just 1 person's opinion on the matter. No where do I think NC State got shafted or put down.

That article is great.

I think its cool that Powell seems to be really close with Kobe and Hickson seems to be really close with LeBron.

Had no problem with the article, just with Powell's State grad agent making up shit. Those were quotes, not opinions of the author.

They never said he wasn't going to get minutes they said "sit" as in sit tight and be content with college.

His dream was to go pro and he did it and he took a less traveled path of working his way to the nba. Congrats to him.

Once he realized he wasn't going to get drafted it was too late to comeback to school bc his family was already taking money.

He's a hard worker and he was a stud here, wish wed kept him another year but oh well.

All that aside I hate to criticize but he's pretty bad in the nba. Not to be a hater, he's one of my favorite players but he's not good at all like the article tries to pretend. He's what 27 now so he's on the downside of his career and the article makes him sound like hell get a big opportunity one day. Save your money josh for after basketball.

That being said being friends with kobe is great job protection. The tenth man doesn't matter enough to replace if he can get thru to kobe and he's a good locker room guy.

Plus there's no better place to be a bench warmer than for the lakers and be a mini celebrity

It very clearly does.

Quote :
""I don't think he felt that he was going to get the playing time that he thought he deserved," Knox said. "That led him to say, 'Hey look, I think it's time for me to explore other options whether it's in the NBA or if it's in Uruguay, I want to be in a situation where I'm maturing.'"

Even if he wasn't ready for the league, he would rather get paid to play for whomever than make no money with the Wolfpack and sit."

According to Knox, he "allegedly" thought he was going to lose minutes, so looked into playing elsewhere, whether it was the NBA or Europe. So the last sentence does indeed imply he thought he would be sitting.

That still doesn't make sense. Who was he going to behind in the depth chart to?

okay yeah thats just silly.

I do remember him being disgruntled over all the plays being called for hodge and him not getting enough touches or whatever and that part I agree with... but he wasn't in danger of losing minutes ever...
