Just wondering if we had any other collectors in here, I presume diecast cars are car-related enough. If so, what do you predominately collect?
I do 1/18 and 1/64, mostly 50's-80's classics in 1/18 (I've got 17 currently I think) and older superfast matchbox, some current matchbox, and the ertl american muscle and M2 authentics series in 1/64 (many). Probably my favorite of the 1/18 is an '85 Monte Carlo SS I just picked up, from the Ertl Authentics series. The level of detail is just outstanding--it includes little bags in the trunk to store the removable t-tops in, and the lid on the center console even opens and shuts...
Looking to thin things out a bit because a)I could use some money and b)I've got more than I can display, and some of the random stuff I've bought over the years doesn't hold that much interest anymore--so if anyone is interested in adding to their collection, let me know. 4/22/2010 2:05:30 PM |

I used to have a nice collection. Then I entered the fourth grade and lost interest. 4/22/2010 2:13:34 PM |

I have a corkboard in my office with every Lotus HotWheels and Matchbox car I've ever seen. Anytime im in a drug store or target/wally world, I sneak over to the toy section and see if there's anything there.
I think I've got maybe 15 cars at the moment 4/22/2010 4:13:49 PM |

^I've been looking for the Matchbox Lotus Europa (the old "breadvan" one); seen it in 10 packs but never as a single. 4/22/2010 4:37:17 PM |

LMFAO. I do this too!!! I've got 15 of the Hot Wheels Speed Machines and 34 of the regular Hot Wheels... I've got them hangin on the wall in original, unopened packaging... I focus on exotics and nice oldschool muscle...
Definitely a conversation "piece"

I've got some old NASCAR stuff at home, a few things autographed by Mark Martin and a few by Richard Petty. Probably not worth much right now, might be in the future though, the Petty ones at least. 4/25/2010 3:20:35 PM |
