I don't think any of the new ones since Goldeneye were that great and the only reason I like Goldeneye is because it spawned such an awesome game.

how so? indefinite means without a set limit. for example, games are definitively delayed when the launch day gets pushed back from October till December. this just says that production is being pushed back, but they don't know when it will start. it's different than being canceled, which would imply that it will never be made

I was just voicing my opinion

I know the films have done decently

I feel like when I watch these films, they just don't seem at all like James Bond films. There is just a ton missing.

Not having Q play a bigger role (or a role at all) voids the new Bond films of the gadget fix that made Bond so damn cool. I know they have gadgets but its not the same. M plays too much of a role and in that last film acts like Bond's mother. FRACKING GAY if you ask me.

That's one reason they brought on Sam Mendes to direct Bond 23 so as to try and re-right the ship that completely capsized in QoS. I think it'll eventually get filmed

Quantum of Solace was not close to the absolute awesomeness of Casino Royale, but it was still good in my opinion. The writers strike really made it so the script was rushed and honestly it should've just been delayed a year. Brosnan got terrible scripts and awful casts to work with in every one of his outings other than GE.

When this was announced a few weeks ago, Peter Jackson had recently said the same thing about the Hobbit and there was speculation that Jackson and the Bond producers were just saying this to make MGM hurry up and sell the company to financial backing organization.

MGM's big mistake was not allowing Sony to continue to fund their movies, like they did the last 2 Bond movies. I highly doubt that Craig is done as Bond, but it may be a 4 year wait until Bond 23 if MGM doesn't hurry the hell up. They had Craig in place, a writer (rumored that there may have been more than one) in place, a first finished draft of the script and a director and now have to wait for MGM to do something.

I really don't think the last 2 Bond films have been dark at all. They've been more like the books and more like the early movies. They need to get more of the women back in them, but they cut out some of the ridiculous stuff like invisible cars that helped to kill the Brosnan era post-Goldeneye. I wouldn't mind them bringing some more cars and gadgets back into it, but they don't have to use the dumb shit that was always in Brosnan's movies.

I'm a diehard fan and love all the Bond movies, and especially the new ones. I think I've seen Casino Royale at least 10 times, and probably 7-8 for Quantum of Solace.

I have liked the way they have handled the re-boot's of both the Bond series and Batman personally. Everyone has different tastes but I like the darker direction both have gone in. I know that some people like the traditionally sarcastic and almost comedic Bond, but Daniel Craig has done a decent enough job at playing Bond in the direction they wanted it to be taken with this re-boot.

Casino Royale was better than QoS but I enjoyed both. Sucks that this is going to be delayed, though I'm not all that excited about Q to be honest, but I'm also not a Bond movie traditionalist.

Oh, and I agree with whoever said that Brosnan was awful post-Goldeneye. I mean they are still worth a watch every now and again for Bond fans but he was almost over the top foolish. Die Another Day is probably my least favorite movie of the genre, not even only the Bond series.
