well the story is actually a prequel before the Transformers landed on earth so Optimus can't look like a big rig because he hasn't taken that form yet. The images you see are the transformers in their "original" form.

the storyline for this game is "Cybertronian Wars" so they are going to look a little scratched up because they are constantly fighting each other.

Anyhow, I still think it looks good. The only design I don't like is Soundwave. He is one of my favorites and I just don't like the way that they made him look.

Thankfully, I've been able to do that with my mouse and keyboard. Maybe the final version will allow for full controller mapping? I was on the fence about this game before the demo, but now it's a must-have. I can't wait to see how Scientist and Leader classes play.

The demo is a *very* small taste of the game. It's only 1 map, you can only rank up to level 3, there are only 2 classes from which to choose, and there are only 2 gameplay modes - team deathmatch and conquest. Still, though, for as stripped down as it is, I have enjoyed it a great deal. I can't recall ever having purchased a Transformers game even though I'm a fairly serious collector, but the implementation in this one has gotten my interest. With most shooter games, I don't give a damn about the single player campaign, but story mode 3-person co-op will get me to go through that. Multiplayer seems pretty fast-paced, and the vehicles seem to have a useful purpose (well, I like the tanks) instead of just getting from point A to B. I'll be getting this on launch day.

I was interested in this game before I played them demo...after playing some of that in action I can say that I'm upgraded to excited. Will probably pre-order from somewhere before the weekend is over.
