Is Win7 Ultimate like Vista Ultimate in the sense that it came with both 32bit and 64bit discs in the box? 5/16/2010 5:24:13 PM |

Why on earth would you choose that release?
I have the MSDN AIO disk if you want me to drop a copy of it in the mail for you.
Have you tried this utility? http://code.kliu.org/misc/win7utils/
Usually with those slimstreamed, patched, hacked releases there are so many root folders and compressed files that it makes finding a specific file nearly impossible. At least that's what I remember from the old "9 in 1" discs.
PS: Stick with releases that stay true to the SHA1/MD5 hashtags or use releases from known groups like ETH0 or WinBeta. I assume both are still around, anyway.

a dude in an IRC channel said that one contained all the different types in it
the license on the bottom of the laptop is only good for win 7 home premium HP OEM version so i guess i need to find that retail ISO and remove the ei.cfg or edit the line to make it OEM
all the release groups go for the ultimate and enterprise versions - they haven't bothered ripping all the umpteen editions of win 7. 5/17/2010 2:19:02 PM |

If the laptop is still under warranty, you should be able to get this free from HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00810334&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=4063&product=4074365&sw_lang=
You should be able to call their tech support as well to order a recovery cd kit. 5/17/2010 6:09:41 PM |
