A few peers and I were engaged in an interesting poker discussion. How good of a football roster could be assembled from the NBA? I've come up with this

OFFENSE

OL- Shquille Oneal, Kendrick Perkins, Brendon Haywood, Andrew Bynum, Andrew Bogut

DEFENSE:

FS-Kobe Bryant
SS- Lebron James
CB- Thabo Sefolosha, TJ Ford, Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis

LB- Gerald Wallace, Josh Smith, Ron Artest

Special Teams:

How good of a football team could this be with practice? top notch high school level? college? nfl? I think its pretty obvious this wouldn't be an nfl level team but I bet this would easily be a top10 team in college football. Athleticism is most important in football and most of these guys could excel at any sport.

Notice Gasol and Dirk are left off.

^^^running the ball will be difficult but I trust rondo to make quick decisions in the spread offense. Bynum and Bogut can move and its not like anyone can guard lebron or durant. You've got enough size up front for the college game. wvu often played small olmen plus you could bring in big baby if bynum or bogut were too small.

Plus nobody will be able to block howard on the other end and gforce, lebron and smith will be knocking people out.
