My G35 Sedan has busted compression rod bushings. Damn things are shot to hell.
Anybody reccomend a good suspension shop to remove arms, and press a new bushing in?
Arms and bushing look like:

Give these guys a call, they pressed a pair of bushings for me in December and all went well. http://www.performance-chassis.com/ 6/3/2010 8:13:28 PM |

What year is your G35? May want to go ahead and get new compression rods. The 07+ are revised and stronger than the 03 - 06. 03 - 06 are very weak and tend to bend. There is a TSB out there for them. 6/4/2010 8:18:37 AM |

The arm itself isnt the problem. Its the bushings on the end. The bushing tends to tear. The AWD sedans come with solid steel arms (vs aluminum), but the same bushings, and they have the same problems. 6/4/2010 8:41:31 AM |

Remove arms, press bushings, reinstall arms $160 (CrossRoads Infiniti wants $300) press bushings, and me do the arm stuff myself $40-50.
Prices not bad 6/8/2010 9:24:18 AM |

When ever I hit the brakes at low speeds, my front driver side suspension pops (make a creeking sound then, pop that can be heard and felt in floor board). The sound has gotten louder and more frequent. I had my compression rod bushings replaced today! Noise still there.
My car is lowered on 350z revised springs and shocks, hotckiss sways front and back.
I did lots of searching (G35driver.com) and the only thing I can come up with is the strut is hitting the compression rod arm. How or why, i have no clue.
Any other ideas? My end links look good, compression rods are new, strut bushings are new. 6/9/2010 7:49:35 PM |

first thing i would do would be to make sure that all the suspension hardware is tight. 6/10/2010 9:57:36 AM |
