I like anything not modern country.

Equipment is probably unimportant, but I have it.

I play piano, keyboard, a little trumpet, basic guitar, and basic percussion.

I'm good at music theory, memorization, composition, improvisation, sight-reading, jazz chord voicing, and playing by ear.

I like anything that's not: boy band, modern country, modern r&b, or gospel

I don't have shit for equipment and I don't play well with others.

Yo fareako if you want to play in Burn The Blood they need a drummer i think. They have a practice space at that spot on capital thats pretty nice

its pretty generic At the gates type stuff but theres a ton of good riffs and slightly strange time sigs / syncopation

I can't really either. It's easy as hell and at least keeps me playing. I've already tried to speed up some of their songs. I told them that they have to bear with me because I was playing extreme metal before. They were the only band (so far) that has contacted me back for an audition. Apparently I beat out quite a few other drummers who 'couldn't begin to keep up'. /brag

Edit: Also can play pretty much every percussion instrument. I can play the tuba.

I can read and write music. Pretty well versed in music theory. Can play by ear.

Played jazz drum set from 10th grade all the way through freshman year of college when I made the NC State Jazz B Band (I was beat out by the guy who beat me out for All-State Jazz Band my senior year of high school). Dr. Garcia immediately could tell that I was a metal drummer at heart because of how loud and fast I always wanted to play. Played metal from 8th grade to present. Each year playing more difficult metal. Guess that's about it.

Bass, Guitar, Piano, Drums (when i had a kit) and some percussion (I <3 my djembe). I want an upright bass & a mandolin. Haven't played the upright for years.

Haven't read music since my 1 year of jazz band my senior year in high school but have a solid grounding in theory

Play well by ear, fit in the pocket, like to write & record, like playing out more

Listen to everything from indy rock, folk, bluegrass to jam bands. Don't dig the G105 type stuff

Play guitar, mostly americana/folk stuff. Anything high and lonesome. My dad plays banjo so I learned guitar by trying to accompany him. I can't read music and can't really play by ear either, I've never had an official music lesson before.

currently trying to pick up banjo and mandolin in basically the same manner. But its obvious its gonna take some time (which I don't seem to have at the moment). Also trying work in a more flatpicking, blues style to my guitar playing.
