Would like to get the hood and the top of the cab on the SS painted so it looks halfway decent but dont want to pay a shop $800 to do it. I can do the prep, have to find a shop to match the paint. The closer to Hickory the better.

everything ive ever seen done by maaco though just looks like all orange peel. I would be willing to pay someone to help but if I dont find anyone I may have to go the maaco route.

^^I've painted several cars with rustoleum...because it's cheap, not because it's good. It's not UV resistant, takes forever to dry and stays soft for weeks, and fades within a year. Painting with a roller is just stupid though. Paint guns are only $15 at harbor freight. Thin with 3ounces acetone to every 16 ounces paint. Allow to dry for 24 hours, haha. Voila! $35/gallon

I've shot a couple with that tractor paint at agri supply too. It works fine when you add in the catalyst. Not too shabby for $50/gallon.

That duplicolor premix shit is good for small projects. Only $23/quart.

+1 for just having maaco paint the whole truck.

I think Ill prob go the Maaco route. Ill have to see how much I can get masked off and prepped and still be able to drive it there.

Also, looks like the Bronco is already sold. Found a buyer within 2 hours of putting it on Autotrader.
