I got the same virus on two computer. It's one of those fake virus protection viruses. After I got it cleaned out I found that IE no longer works, however firefox works fine. I figured some remnants of the virus were still remaining, however when I downloaded google chrome for the first time it too fails to load webpages. Firefox is still working fine. Any ideas? 7/16/2010 2:49:03 PM |

Check your proxy settings they usually change those something like tools, internet options, connections, LAN Settings, and take it off trying to use a proxy. 7/16/2010 3:00:07 PM |

I am dealing with the same thing on one of the work computers. Got rid of the virus, proxy is unchecked, but I still can't get IE to open. Google Chrome and Firefox open fine. But if I click on IE, nothing happens. 7/17/2010 5:14:37 PM |
