Some classes require Junior/Senior standing, etc. My question is if someone is currently a Junior and the class they want to take the next semester requires Senior standing, will they still be allowed to register for the course if they are a Junior but will be a Senior by the time they start the class (the next semester)? 8/5/2010 5:36:13 PM |

While I don't know for sure what the current registration system does, in my experience it's never enforced prerequisites save for classes with restricted seats. 8/5/2010 5:58:17 PM |

Yep I know they never enforce the pre-requisities actually, they just put that there in red letters to scare people who have not taken them to into not registering for the class. 8/5/2010 6:18:05 PM |

they will not let you do this with ENG331 in the ME curriculum. you must be a junior to even register for it, and if you ask for an exception they blame the English dept and ignore your request 8/5/2010 6:59:10 PM |

I ran into this scenario going into the Spring 2010 semester. MyPack seemed to account for IP hours and assumed I would pass all of them (which I did) and let me register for the class. So you should be fine, but let someone know ASAP if this is not the case. 8/6/2010 6:40:53 PM |

Was the standing requirement under a separate bar called "Class Notes" or did it say it in the Restrictions ? 8/6/2010 6:56:43 PM |
