Some guy rear ended me and I need to get a new rear bumper for my 2005 Buick Lacrosse, obviously I want the best job possible so it looks brand new (and I'm not paying). However, I just promised the guy I wouldn't take it to a dealership to get done so it's at least a little cheaper (unless it would be).
Plz to name places to call on Monday.... 8/7/2010 6:59:23 PM |

My question is this...why NOT take it to the dealer? Most dealership bodyshops are not much more expensive than independent shops, and the work will be highly likely to meet your demands.
Was there a police report filed? Is the guy having to pay out of pocket? If there's no report, and no insurance claim to be filed, how can you be sure he will pay?
I'd check out True2Form. 8/9/2010 1:03:59 PM |

Shoulda just called the police and filed a report. His insurance company won't try to tell you where to get the car fixed for his mistake. 8/9/2010 1:38:04 PM |

What you want to find is a place that uses certified factory or aftermarket parts (if its not repairable) cause you don't want some flemsy raw non abs plastic crap.
If you stay away from that junk you should be okay as most places have lifetime on body work.
You need to also go to places for an estimate. Your not gonna get an accurate one over the phone. 8/9/2010 3:06:08 PM |
