what are you people using these days? i use around 5 different computers, and all of them have different bookmarks on them. i have used google chrome bookmarks sync to sync them, but i don't always want ALL my work bookmarks on my personal computer, just some of them. i've used delicious for a while, but the browser plugins never quite match my usability expectations, and i stop using them after a few weeks
anybody got a bookmarks "strategy" they really like? 8/9/2010 10:13:05 AM |

Shaggy keeps a handwritten custom home page on his SkyDrive. His custom home page triggers quirks mode. 8/9/2010 10:45:16 AM |

I have everything semi-organized into some folders and fed through https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410/
I do have a portable Firefox install on a thumbdrive that I keep separate - but that's because it's mostly web based email logins and stuff for the rare occurrence I don't have strong signal (like at my parents house in the boondocks.) 8/9/2010 11:02:56 AM |

I use Xmarks http://www.xmarks.com/
It used to be foxmarks, but they expanded to cover multiple browsers. Not sure if you can pick and choose which bookmarks you want it to save though. 8/9/2010 11:31:13 AM |

I only use bookmarklets, little javascript: links that do cool stuff like allow you to see the DOM structure of a page: http://slayeroffice.com/tools/modi/v2.0/modi_help.html 8/9/2010 11:56:43 PM |

Delicious. Probably 25% of my bookmarks are private. 8/10/2010 12:01:57 AM |

I've come to the conclusion that whatever device I'm on has the bookmarks I need at that moment. Ive gotten over the whole OMG I GOTS TO HAVE ALL MY BOOKMARKS EVERYWHERE I GO. I'm much happier now. 1/6/2011 7:27:33 PM |

Yeah but I do stuff on my office computer all day then come home and do the same stuff for my personal projects (tww). It's mildly inconvenient to have to log into my work desktop from home

I like the challenge to see if I can find the webpage again if I'm working on something but on a different computer. I like to make life harder though. Lol. 1/6/2011 7:47:35 PM |
