Any of you guys know of a way to access your IBM internal notes mail through a different client? I would particularly like to access my notes mail via Gmail. Is there an IMAP server or something? Can you point me in a direction to figure this out? (if it is on w3 that is fine.) 8/18/2010 11:13:59 AM |

yeah. I don't make much use of notes as far as using the db functions. it basically is just my inbox/calendar tool. So I was wanting to use my notes email in a different client (gmail preferred, but outlook or something would be fine too.)
I checked out BlueMail today and it seems ok (it did offer tagging features like gmail does) but still not a substitute for the gmail experience to me. 8/18/2010 4:57:30 PM |

They're starting to enable some of the internal mail servers with inotes... Web-based, definitely lighter than your thick notes client. 8/20/2010 11:05:59 AM |

I access mine through Outlook - which I feel is much better than notes. It was pretty easy to convert, however it took about 28 hours for all of my email to make its way over to Outlook.
On a separate note, does anyone know if they are going to ever have a way for us to access Notes through Android?

just as a follow up to this....
I never found a good way to get shit over to gmail, however, I did start using BlueMail which is an internal web based mail client for lotus notes. Has all my mail and calendar functions which is great, but more importantly, it has tagging features like gmail. These tags can then be pulled into the thick notes client and viewed through the "Views" tree in the left nav. WAY better than the regular notes client. For the last week I have just been running BlueMail and Sametime connect 8.02 and it has been perfect. 8/22/2010 6:16:34 PM |
