this just started about 30 minutes ago...anyone else having trouble?
i've read that this can happen now and then when using POP and the solution is to just log in via the web client and delete the oldest message not already downloaded
it was working earlier this morning and i haven't received any big emails or attachments or anything...i can't get thunderbird to remain stable enough for me to disable checking for new messages, but it works for about 10 seconds upon load and i can access my other non-gmail accounts until it gets around to checking with gmail
suggestions? 8/19/2010 9:15:22 AM |

hah
i don't remember...it's the latest one (i updated sometime last week), so 3.1.2?
i don't think it's tied to the version, though, since it's doing this on my laptop, too, which has an older version...same thing: lets me in for 5-10 seconds and then locks up when it gets around to checking gmail
it's acting like the POP-mail-stuck-on-server issue, but i'm running IMAP and i'm not sure if there's an email i should delete or something, maybe an attachment that's causing it to hang 8/20/2010 7:35:27 AM |
