Fuck it, it's worth a shot. ibt $5 bid
First and foremost, I am in Whitsett NC. If you are too lazy to Google it, I am between Burlington and Greensboro, so you will have to come get it. If you are cool with that, keep reading.
$500 OBO
Troy-Bilt GTX-2446 Riding Mower. Model # 217461
The only reason I am selling this mower is because I have just bought a new mower, which made more sense than paying to repair a 7 year old mower. This mower is 7 years old, has been kept in a garage, and has been well taken care of. The engine runs great, and starts the first time, every time. The electrical and safety systems are in perfect condition. The battery was replaced less than a year ago. Routine maintenance, including blade sharpening, has been done on a yearly basis. I also have the owner’s / parts manual, which will of course be included.
Now for the repairs. These are the things that will need to be done to bring it back to 100%:
- Front wheels toed: In forward it turns fine, in reverse it won’t turn. In reverse, the wheels just turn into each other and drag. I am not sure about the fix for this one, but you lawnmower guys probably know.
- Middle mower blade broken: The middle blade (the middle of the 3 blades, the other 2 work great) threw a belt so now it doesn’t turn. I am pretty sure the spindle needs to be replaced, but again I am not sure. Someone with lawnmower knowledge should be able to fix it pretty easily.
- Both front wheels have slow leaks. You will probably want to replace the tubes. $20 per tire was the quote I got, but you can probably get it done cheaper.
I would like to get cash, but I would also be willing to trade. I need a log splitter, a rear-tine tiller, or any other farm/lawn/garden equipment you might be trying to get rid of.
Here are the pics. Make me an offer, faggots!

Update: I found the spindle for the center blade in the yard, which was the most expensive part to replace. With some lawnmower knowledge, it could probably be done pretty easily.
